Organization

RocketFuel uses a hierarchical structure to organize your work.

Organization (your company)
└── Workspaces (teams or departments)
└── Projects (individual initiatives)

└── Timelines

A Workspace is the top-level container in RocketFuel. Think of it as a team or department.

  • Each workspace has its own members and permissions
  • Billing is handled at the workspace level
  • You can be a member of multiple workspaces
  1. Click + New Workspace in the sidebar
  2. Enter a name (e.g., “Engineering”, “Marketing”)
  3. Choose a plan (Free, Pro, or Enterprise)
  4. Invite team members

Projects live inside workspaces and contain all your work items:

  • Tasks (with custom statuses, fields, and views)
  • Documents (rich text with real-time collaboration)
  • Whiteboards (visual collaboration)
  • Timelines (Gantt-style planning)

Each project has configurable settings:

Within a workspace, you can create Teams to organize members:

  • Teams can be assigned to projects
  • Permissions can be set at the team level
  • Teams help with @mentions and notifications
